"Ironhorse" takes second win of 2003 season
OKEECHOBEE, Fla. (April 19, 2003) - The Florida Mini Sprint Association arrived early at an excellently prepared ¼ mi. banked clay oval at Thundercross Motorsports Park for round 5 of 2003 the FMSA Dirt Series Championship. FMSA had a few new drivers racing at the track tonight. Trey Craddock was driving the 71x, which is owner by the #71 of John Craddock, and Crazy Nick was driving the #18? We also have the #3x being driven by Alex Mills for his 2nd. race of the 2003 season.

The 1st. heat race was lined up with the #7 of Jesse Teed and #5 of Steve Crabtree on the pole. When the green flag dropped the #7 would take the lead with the #5 in 2nd. The #33 of Tom Wilson would race back and forth with the #5 for the 2nd. Spot. The #6 of Mike Schroeder would have electrical problems and would stop on the track bringing out the caution. #7 of Jesse Teed would lead the restart and go on to Win the heat race with the #5 in 2nd. And the #33 would finish 3rd.

The 2nd. Heat race would line up with the #32 of Will Creech and the #69 of TJ Raymond starting on the point. Will driving the #32 would take the lead with TJ in 2nd. Until lap 7 when the #32 would nick the wall and TJ would take the lead on the inside and go on to Win the race with the #71x of Trey Craddock finishing 2nd. The #8 of Johnny Sutton would finish 3rd. in the 2nd. Heat race.

The Feature race lined up with the #69 and the #2 of Allen Craig on the pole. Allen would take the lead and the #71 of John Craddock running in 2nd. The #5 of Steve Crabtree would get into the #69 on the back straight-away and launch up in the air and straighten it out and all would continue. Allen would continue to lead until 10(Ten) the lights went out in turn 1 and the red flag come out till the lights came back on. After the short delay Allen would restart the race and soon bring out the caution when the chain would expire the #2 for the Event. The #71 of John Craddock would restart the race leading with the #33 of Tom Wilson in 2nd. Place. The caution came out again when the #71x of Trey Craddock hit the inside tire in turn 3&4 and spun-out. Craddock led the field again on the restart till the #33 of Tom Wilson would make the pass on the inside and take the lead. The #7 of Jesse Teed and the #5 of Steve Crabtree would battle it out passing each other back and forth for the 3rd. position. Tom “Iron horse” Wilson driving the #33 (US Car Care) Bailey Chassis would go on to Win the Feature Event with the #71 of John Craddock in 2nd. , #5 of Steve Crabtree in 3rd., #7 of Jesse Teed in 4th.and the #69 of TJ Raymond rounded out the top 5.
