Craig Thatcher Takes UMP Mod Win at VSP
BARBERVILLE, Fla. - Joey Saldana in car # 2-S of Brownsburg, Ind placed his Shaw Chassis, powered by Kistler Engine into Victory Circle. Saldana held off the challenge of Danny Lasoski #20 and Jeff Shepard in the 92s. Once Saldana took the lead it was obvious he was the fastest car, Lasoski worked hard to catch the 2-s of Saldana ,.Lasoski 2nd, 3rd to Jeff Sheppard, 4th Shane Stewart in the 4m and rounding out top 5 the #7 of Craig Dollansky.24 Sprints started the feature. B main winner #77 Lance Dewease of Fayetteville,Pa.

Heat winners: 1st heat-Fred Rahmer,2nd heat-Kenny Adams, 3rdheat-Mike Erdley,4th heat -Coniam.


The UMP Modified event provided great racing action Shawn Harvey took the lead on the first lap with thatcher on his bumper, with a caution on lap 7, #21T of Thatcher took the lead and charged to the front, side by side Harvey in the 1Pj trying to hang on to 2nd place but #17 S of Jim Shereck fighting to take the 2nd postion. Harvey held on to 2nd place, Sherech settling for 3rd and the 21L Kyle Logue 4th, Steve Isenburg in 5th.

The Heat Races were- Heat 1. #71D Bill Davis-Heat 2- #45 brandon Maxwell, Heat3-#88 Scott Orr-

53 UMP Modifieds were on hand for the Race-Weeks Opener and new cars will arrive each day. Racing continues with Race Weeks Feb 7- The All- Star Sprints and UMP Modifieds. Racing Action 7:30P.M.
