Greg Leonard Nabs Win Number 9 at East Bay

(Gibsonton, FL; 6/24/2000) Hot Shoe, Greg Leonard from Apollo Beach, fresh back from the 360 Nationals at Knoxville, easily steered his Kenny Mulligan-owned #3 sprint car to victory at East Bay. Leonard took the lead from 'Bubba the Love Sponge' in the Budweiser #98 on lap 5 and never looked back enroute to win his ninth trip to victory lane of the season. Brady Alvis (#22), Johnny Gilbertson (#8M), Casey Johnson (#31), and Michael Smith (#80) rounded out the top five.

In Late Models, Bill Howard took win number six in his #47 Howard Lawn Maintenance-sponsored mount over Jack Nosbisch, Jr. (#12), Ken Nosbisch (#41), Donnie Tanner (#88), and KD Kelley (#00).

Roger Crouse powered his Blue Ribbon Farms #15 Limited Late Model to victory over Tommy Evonosky (#19), Don Gansner (#17), Danny Bowman (#46), and John Bradley (#52).

In Street Stocks, it was Jerry Lape (#17) in victory lane for the first time this season over Jim Greenwood (#19), Terry Bronson (#23), John Boarders ()8), and Danny Paris (#09).

Scotty Williams (#27) found himself back in victory lane in Mini-Stocks over point leader Devin Dixon in the #2 car, Dorsey Strickland (#7JR)) Ken Rutledge (#36), and Rusty Williams (#30).

Tim George out of Venice steered his Got Milk?/Venice Wreker Service limited sprint to victory over Zephyrhills' Tim Holston (#51), Andy Kelley (#11), Clyde Poole (#85), and Darrin Miller in Miss Margies #30.
