| Beauchemin Wind Third Feature At Hialeah | HIALEAH, Fla. - Bobby Beauchemin became the first three time winner at Hialeah Speedway this season as he easily outran the field to win the accident shortened 22 lap late model sportsman feature.
Jorge Gonzalez set the early pace but quickly things went sour as several cars tangled in turn one with Alan Janney's car coming to rest on top of the wall. There were no injuries and on the restart Beauchemin darted to the inside of Gonzalez and was never challenged throughout. Two back to back incidents late in the run saw the checkers fly with Beauchemin the winner over Georgia visitor Charlie Bible, Gary McGoron, Bobby Shelton and Danny Maddox.
Mike Orth grabbed his second street stock win in three weeks as he grabbed the lead on lap nine and outran Chalo DeCastro for the victory in the 25 lap main. Rick Lutz checkered third over Steve Godlewski and Bob Hogan.
Mini stock action saw Tim Jones make it look very easy as he put his Toyota on cruise control and notched his second win of the campaign in the 25 lapper. Steve Quick gave chase but came up short in second over David Russell, Buddy Sizemore and Bill Calder.
Cylcone points leader Roger Bohannon helped his own cause as he got his third win this season besting Mike Powers, Robert Sark, Gabe Hernandez and Dominick Fulco.
