Features

First to come out was the Auto Trader Street Stock feature, with its normal 24 car field. The 77 of Rick Haugh had the pole, with #9 of Danny Partelo on outside pole. As the first lap began so did the pushing and shoving. The #1 of Bob Hall in third and #76 of Jim Altobelli in fourth were coming out of turn two and got together, turning sideways blocking the track. As the rest of the field was coming around, there were only two options, go through the grass or find a hole. The holes were closing fast and eleven cars were involved. The red flag was out for about ten minutes while the wreckage was being cleaned up. The #76 Jim Altobelli, #00 Pat Grimes, #65 Bob Patterson, #3 Todd Murphy and the #02 Richard Crisp were unable to finish the race. #2 Robert Crisp, #35 Joe Smith, #1 Bob Hall, #0 Jim Mattews #99 Steve Harbuck and #12 Corky Craver were involved, but able to finish the feature. #9 Dan Partelo won the feature with #77 Rick Haugh in second and #6 Ed Kidd in third.
Congratulations Dan Partelo.

The Open Wheel Modified rolled out with a 19 car field, with #88 Chris Robbins on the point and #6 Chet Senokossoff on the outside pole. At the green the #88 and the #6 started the battle. #6 was laying the bumper to the #88 for a few laps, beating on the #88, the #6 finally spun the leader. The yellow came out and the #6 was sent to the rear and the #88 got the lead back. That put the #71 of Barry Bartlett in second, the #56 of Allyn Summers in third and the #99 of Roger Stull in fourth. Once the race was restarted #88 Chris Robbins held the lead. The real battle was for the second and third. #56 had the #99 working on him while the #56 was trying to take second from the #71. As the laps were whining down the #99 was falling back as the #71 and #56 were still battling. On the final lap, coming out of turn four, the #56 and #71 got together, the #56 of Allyn Summers did a 360 flip on the front straight, landing on his wheels. Allyn was alright but was unhappy that he did not go across the line line. One week after flipping himself, #88 Chris Robbins won the feature, with #99 Roger Stull in second and #57 Timmy Moore in third. #1 Wayne Jefferson had a good run after starting in the back, and finishing fourth. The #41 of Luke Hill was disquailified for have only three brake assemblies.
Congratulations Chris Robbins.

Late Model started the night with a 10 car field. On the pole was #82 Den Neighbor, Jr. and the outside pole was #6 of Billy Bechtelheimer. The beginning started out good with a good clean start, but after a couple of laps the caution came out for an incident with the leaders. #6 was sent to the rear and the #82 went to the pits, putting #22 Sammy Coghill on the point, #18 Andy Werden in second #5 Brain Leverock in third. At the restart the #22 took a five car length lead while #18 and #5 were battling for second. The battle for second went on for a while but finally the #5 got passed the #18 for second. By this time it looked like the #22 was going to cruise to the finish with a half a straight away lead, but #5 was not done yet. The #5 ran down the #22 with four laps left. The #5 tried but could not get the lead. #22 Sammy Coghill kept the lead and got the checkered, with #5 Brain Leverock close in second and #73 Billy Mowery battling #69 Johnny Stanford for third.
Congratulations out to Sammy Coghill for two wins in a row.

The One Stop Mini Stock Feature rolled out with a 24 car field. On the pole was #93 Rick Beineke and on the outside was #65 Joey Catarelli. Once the race began th #93 took the lead with #65 battling hard to take it from him. The four front runners stayed the same throughout the race. With only one caution, the race did not have any problems. #93 Rick Beineke won, with #65 Joey Catarelli in second, #16 Glenn Kelley in third. 4th though 6th were battling it out at the finish. #06 Rick Sirmans was disqualified for rough driving, causing the only caution. Congratulations Rick Beineke!

The Q Auto and Injury Figure 8's had a 16 car field. The #08 of Dwayne Dopell started on the pole with #74 Robbie Hage on the outside. From the start #08 took the lead and put about a 5 car length lead on the field. It did not take long for the action to start in the intersection. The #1 of Phil Wickham seemed to be wondering around the track, making it hard on just about everyone in the intersection. The only caution came out for the #17 of Bobby Moctezuma's spin. On the restart the #08 did not come up to power and pulled off the track, giving up the lead to the #74. With alot of close calls in the intersection everything stayed safe. #74 Robbie Hage won closely followed by #14 Wayne Calkins in second and #28 Shane Grigsby in third, also give it up for #05 Duane Thompson for all the excitement in the intersection.
Congratulations Robbie Hage.

Enduro Figure 8's rolled out for the final race of the evening. 11 Cars made up the field for what ended up to be a very good race. The #47 of Rick Botts started on the pole. At the drop of the green the #47 shot out of a cannon. Rick's car started going away. The #32 of Darrle Hage closed in and got the lead from the #47 with #24 Dave Cleary and #02 Pete Cracolici battling for position right behind him. The #24 and #02 got hooked together from the intersection all the way through the turn. The field was stretched out with 3 cars run through turns 3 and 4. and 4 car running through turns 1 and 2 making things real interesting. The #32 of Darrle Hage took the win with #24 Dave Cleary in second and #17 Tom Phalin in third. I give a heads up to the 15x of Donnie Ibitson for all the great crossings through the X. Congratulations Darrle Hage.
