34th Annual World Series of Asphalt Stockcar Racing

Night two was just as exciting as night one. By the end of the evening, the night air is pretty cool and jackets are needed but the track is hot.

The first feature division tonight was the Mini-Stocks. On the pole was the #03 of Timmie Hunley. But it was the #7l of Ted"Mr. Mini-Stock" Vulipus jumping to the lead and never looking back. The top five were:

1. #71 - Ted Vulipus
2. #03 - Timmie Hunley
3. #KD1 - Terry Cady
4. #30 - The Missile
5. #55 - Rick Tumey

Our next feature was the IMCA/FL Open Wheel Modifieds.
On the pole was the #2x of Jason Boyd. But it was the #25 of Gary Smith taking the lead and winning the feature. Top five were:

1. #25 - Gary Smith
2. #40 - Shelby Howard
3. #5 -
4. #55 - Billy Mowrey
5. #112 - Mike Fritts

Next feature race of the night was the Featherlite Modifieds/SK Modifieds. On the pole was the young driver of the #2 Tour Type Modified, J. R. Bertuccio but it was the #5 of Charlie Pasteryak leading almost the entire race until the #9 of Eric Beers slipped by the #5 and lead the finishing laps. Top five were:

1. #9 - Eric Beers
2. #5 - Charlie Pasteryak
3. #00 - Ted Christopher
4. #99 - Jamie Tomaino
5. #2 - J. R. Bertuccio

For the Super Late Models, it was the #11 of David Rogers with the pole and winning from the pole. Steve Carlson in the #66 tried his best to get the lead but could never pass Rogers. The top five were:

1. #11 - David Rogers
2. #66 - Steve Carlson
3. #61 - Jimmy Cope
4. #25 - Scott Wimmer
5. #30 - Pete Orr

In the Limited Late Model division it was the second win for
the #47 of Louie Mechalides of Tynsboro, MA. Mechalides
had the pole for the race and never once lost it. Mike Beyer of Rockford, Ill. ran second most of the night until the #39 of Mike Greenwell of Alva, Florida took second away from Beyer. Top five were:

1. #47 - Louie Mechalides
2. #39 - Mike Greenwell
3. #75 - Mike Beyer
4. #63 - Chris Lawrence
5. #l - David Logan

The last division for the night was the Super Stocks with the #6 of Billie Morton on the pole and leading almost the entire race with the #8 of Richard Clouser slowing working his way to the lead. In the end, Clouser took the lead and Morton finished third. Top five were:

1. #8 - Richard Clouser
2. #26 - Bradley Johnson
3. #6 - Billie Morton
4. #22 - Homer Gordon
5. #40 - Dano Winnett
