C.A.R.S. Motorsports & Racer Marketing

Orlando FL. - This Friday and Saturday December 8th & 9th at Orlando Speedworld, racing and giving come together. Central Florida Truck racers along with Legend and Mini-cup drivers come together in a caring manner to help 9 year old Tommy and his family during some tough times. Nascar Craftsman Truck Stars David Reutimann and David Starr will sign autographs Saturday night from 5:30-6:30p.m.

The weekend is set to be full of racing, raffles, BBQ and music and the proceeds go to help this family with mounting medical bills,as Tommy fights a rare disease that could claim his life. " We just want to be a blessing to the family, and let Tommy know there are people who love him and care for him and his family". stated event organizer Rick Bristol.

" We are happy to announce a last minute sponsor for the 200 Lap truck race named in honor of the Hopkins Family. Racezingmania.com and racezingmania.ws will be the title sponsor for the big event". " Glen, Pat and his team have stepped up to sponsor not only the race but they had already committed to sponsor a couple of trucks that will be in the race". They have some neat deals they are working on for the future and wanted to gain some exposure here in Florida, we are glad they wanted to help us try to make this event very successful for the Hopkins family".

The Hopkins Family Truckers 200 presented by RaceZingMania.com is the highlight of the weekend, but there is a great field if Legend Cars expected to compete in Saturday nights big events as well. A good group of Mini-Cups will be racing both night, with there biggest events happening Friday night as the Jr. Division Races for 20 Laps and the Pro division will run for 40 laps.

Friday the 8th things get under way with Ramm Transport Pole Night. A special media hour is planned from 6-7 p.m. "We are inviting all local media and other racing media around the state to join us for this event. They will have access to all the drivers during this hour long time. They will be given all the specifics on the event from Rick Bristol as well. They can meet Tommy and his Family as well. If you plan to attend please e-mail Rick Bristol at rbmini68@aol.com to be put on the credentials list.

At 8 p.m. the trucks will take to the speedway for first round qualifying that will lock in a determined amount of trucks for the 200 lap main event. The fast qualifier will receive a nice plaque from Business Archives and $100.00 from King Motorsports. The mini-cups will then run there two feature races. Following that we will have a BBQ and Music in the pits and a celebrity auction may break out as well.

Friday pit passes go on sale at 10a.m. and pit gates will open for trucks only at 11 a.m., with Mini-cups to follow. Tech for all trucks will be from 12-3 p.m. Practice for Trucks only from 3-5 Rotating practice with mini-cups until 6p.m. Pit passes for one day are $25.00 or you can buy a two day pit pass Friday for $45.00. Grandstand gates open at 5p.m.& A grandstand ticket for Friday night will only be $5.00, but your $20.00 ticket for Saturday gets you in for both nights.

Saturday morning pit gates will open at 8a.m. Grandstand gates open at 5 p.m. with the Nascar drivers autograph session from 5:30-6:30 then opening ceremonies. Racing will begin at 7:15 with Jr. Mini-cups 15 laps, Legends for 35 Laps and then Pro-Mini-cups for 20 laps.
Those races will be followed by Hopkins Family Truckers 200 drivers introductions and then the green flag at 8:30 p.m.

This event will have computerized timing and scoring and one way communication to the drivers provided by Raceiver. The system will make the night easier and safer for all the competitors.

There is a bunch of lap sponsors and awards that have been put up for this race and we thank each one of them for there help. Orlando Graphix the official supplier of Fascar programs will be doing a program that will feature all the folks that have helped. The lap and award sponsors will be listed in there.

Once again grandstand tickets will be $20.00 and they are good for both nights and pit passes for two days must be purchased Friday to get the $45.00 rate. For more information on this event please go to www.carsracermarketing.com or call 407-497-0448.
