IT'S TIME TO RACE!!

February 3, 2006 Swamp Buggy Racing Wet.....and Wild! Rob Swift It was another fun filled action packed weekend of Swamp Buggy Racing January 28th and 29th at the Florida Sports Park in Naples, Florida. Tyler Johns driving Patriot took top honors for the event. He won a side by side duel in the Big Feature defeating 7 time World Champion Eddie Chesser in the Outlaw II. Jimmy Sylvester in Gator Flea finished third. Johns made it into the Big Feature by beating some of the toughest competitors in the sport. He logged victories over Rick Johnson in The Secret Weapon, Leonard Chesser in Dats Da One, Troy Ortega in Terminator III and Lonnie Chesser in High Tech Redneck in the Pro Modified Two Wheel Drive class finale. Chesser made it to the Feature beating his cousin Amy Chesser in Dats It and Randy Johns in Top Gun in the Pro Modified Four Wheel Drive class finale. Sylvester earned his way into the Big feature by out running Terry Walsh in a six cylinder For Sale and William Thornton in Cold Duck a four cylinder in the Intermediate Feature. He also won the V-8 super Stock Class over Tony Hamm in Four Play and Charity Palmer in Thunder. Other class winners are John Parks in an Aircooled called Sidewinder and Dan Armstrong in a Jeep named Frog Spit. Swamp Buggy Queen Leirin Ragan with Tyler Johns, pilot of the Patriot.
