Bobby Joe Woodley received Humanitarian of the Year Award from USAR Hooter's Pro Cup

Woodley Motorsports

Myrtle Beach, SC) By a special invitation from USAR President Gene Cox to the Hooters Pro Cup Awards Banquet at the Grande Dunes Marriot in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Bobby Joe Woodley, driver of the Woodley Motorsports Inc. #98s Ford Taurus received the coveted Humanitarian of the Year award. USAR Public Relations Director Tim Southers presented the award to Woodley for his "Contributions and Dedications to Enhancing the sport of Stock Car Racing and the Hooters Pro Cup Series." This prestigious annual award is presented in the memory of Gary Cornwell, former USAR Series Media Relations Director.

WMI President Bob Woodley said "When Mr. Cox called to invite us to the Banquet I was not told about receiving this award. After that phone call the anticipation waiting for the Jan 14th Black tie event was filled with enthusiasm. When receiving the award the whole team is just truly honored by the recognition of our efforts".

Bobby Joe Woodley and the Palm Bay, Florida based WMI Team brightened many children's 2005 summer as his team raised a donation for the International Child Development Resource Center (http://www.icdrc.org ) and the annual program they hold for Autistic Children. On June 4th at the Naturally Fresh 250, USA International Speedway, Lakeland, FL, the Woodley's proudly presented a check to the ICDRC in the amount of $10,138.00.

"The innovative ICDRC Reach for the STARS fund drive created by WMI was the way to get everyone involved helping to fight Autism at any level" stated Bob Israelite. "Anyone could donate and receive a colored star to write a personal message to the children in the ICDRC program. The stars were placed all over the race car and brought out to the Development Resource Center and other local events for all the children to see. The response from the community was tremendous and heart warming to say the least."

"This is who we are and what we do. We at WMI are a small team, but collectively we have a big heart, value integrity and have a strong desire to succeed at this endeavor." said Bobby Joe Woodley.

In his 2005 Rookie campaign Bobby Joe finished the full Regular Season 21st in points out of a field of 68 cars in the Southern Division of the Hooter's Pro Series.

Crew Chief Bobby Woodley said "This award and trophy mean so much to all of us at WMI. The Team has accomplished many of our goals in our first season in Hooters Pro Cup, this is like icing on the cake. For 2006 we have extensively upgraded our equipment and look forward to the up-coming season, the new rules package and having experience running at these scheduled tracks. The Team, the equipment and our goals are all tuned-up and we are counting down the days to the season opener at Lakeland, Fla."
