| Thursday, November 13, 2008 | | Georgia Asphalt Series Sold, Operations Move to Lanier National Speedway | Since its inception in 2004 the Georgia Asphalt Series has called Peachstate Speedway its home. With today’s announcement of the series being sold, it was also announced the series will now have its office at Lanier National Speedway.
The daily operation of the series will be handled by Lanier National Speedway General Manager Terry Roberts. “We are looking to run a 10 to 12 race schedule,” said Roberts. At present negotiations are also underway with several tracks in Alabama, the Carolina’s and Georgia, with those announcements coming soon.
