#08 GunBroker.com Team is Excited to Visit Phoenix International Raceway

With just two races remaining in the 2008 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season Jason White and the SS Green Light Racing team have only a couple races to improve the teams best finish of 15th at Kansas back in week five. This week’s Lucas Oil 150 should be an excellent opportunity for the #08 team as White has run well at short tracks this year including top-20 finishes at Milwaukee, ORP, Bristol and Martinsville.

The SS Green Light team is hoping to carry the momentum from the previous short tracks west to Phoenix. “Some of our better runs have come at the one-mile tracks,” said White, “We should have a good shot at getting GunBroker.com another good finish Friday night."

"We blew-up last week and that was tough because we were having a pretty good race, I think we would have had easily had a top-20. It looks like we dropped a valve but it’s the only real motor problem that we’ve had," White explained. "I’m excited and I can’t wait for this weekend at Phoenix. I’ve just got a good feeling about this race."

For SS GreenLight Racing co-owner and Crew Chief Bobby Dotter, the return to Phoenix is a great opportunity to duplicate Dotters best finish at the flat one-mile speedway; a twelfth place finish back in 2002. “We are bringing the same truck we ran at Bristol in August and we had a pretty solid truck there,” he added. “The guys are working real hard to finish this year on a positive note.”

• The Lucas Oil 150 will be Jason’s 53rd Craftsman Truck Series start and 93rd career NASCAR start.

• This will be the first time Jason has competed at Phoenix in the NCTS.

• Jason is currently 19th in NCTS driver point standings.

• SS GreenLight Racing’s best finish at Phoenix; 12th, on Nov. 8, 2002 with Bobby Dotter behind the wheel of the #08.

• 36 trucks are pre-entered for the Lucas Oil 150.

Jason’s thoughts on Phoenix International Raceway: “This should be a good track for us. It’s a mile and it’s kind of like New Hampshire or Milwaukee and we had a real good run at Milwaukee earlier this year. I know the whole GunBroker.com team is excited about this weekend.”

Practice for the Lucas Oil 150 is Thursday, Nov. 6th from 3:45-5:00 p.m. and 5:30-6:45 p.m. Qualifying will be Friday, Nov 7th at 2:30 p.m. and the race will be show live on SPEED Channel at 8:00pm Eastern time.
