Accident Relegates Max Papis to 29th Place in Truck Series Debut at Texas

Max Papis had a stellar qualifying run on Thursday evening in his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race placing the SS Greenlight Racing #07 fifth on the starting grid for the Chevy Silverado 350 at Texas Motor Speedway.

At the start of Friday night's race, Papis quickly showed the speed of the #07 truck and by narrowly avoiding an early wreck he moved into third place by the races 5th lap. Unfortunately, contact with another truck on lap 15 forced the #07 into the outside wall and ended Papis race as the truck was damaged too heavily to continue and was credited with 29th place.

Max Papis will be racing for Germain Racing in the Sprint Cup Series in 2009.

The next event for SS GreenLight Racing: Lucas Oil 150 at Phoenix International Raceway on November 7th, 2008.
