| Billy Drake Gets Two Top Ten Finishes, Finishes 4th in the Final Lucas Oil Series Points Standings | BLOOMINGTON, IL (October 8, 2008) - Billy Drake Racing traveled to Georgia this past weekend for the final two Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned events. Friday October 3rd Billy competed at Rome Speedway in Rome, GA in a $10,000 to win feature event. Billy would finish 2nd in his heat race to earn the 8th starting position for the 50-lap feature event. Billy would run near the top 5 but would fade towards the end and finish 9th in the final run down. Then on Saturday Billy would compete at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA in the $15,000 to win Dixie Shootout. Billy would finish 4th in his heat race to earn the 16th starting position for the feature. Billy would have a good car and would advance to finish a solid 5th place in the final Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event of 2008. Billy would finish 4th in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series final point's standings.
"We had a really good car all weekend. Our results didn't show it much at Rome, but at Dixie to come from 16th to 5th was a good run for us. To finish 4th in the final points standings was a great accomplishment for our team and hopefully we can build on that for next year and contend for the championship", stated Billy. Billy will travel to Challenger Raceway in Indiana, PA this weekend October 9-11th and compete in "The Ultimate" a $22,000 to win super late model event. Billy won this event last year and looks to repeat the win against a strong field of drivers this coming weekend.
