Lap Sponsors Still Needed for Upcoming Winchester 400

Winchester, IN (October 5, 2008) – Lap Sponsors are still needed for the upcoming 37th Annual Winchester 400 Presented By Ed Martin Auto Group and Renegade on Sunday, October 12th on the famous High Banks of Winchester Speedway. To date over 190 laps have been sold with the Leader Board Program, the goal is to sell all 400 laps prior to the Winchester 400 taking the green flag at 1pm on Sunday, October 12th.

The Leader Board Program, where the leader of each lap earns a $25.00 bonus, has become a popular way for race fans and businesses to get involved and support this great event. Laps are "sold" for $25.00, so every penny of their support goes directly to the racers. For their support of this program, the sponsor gets their name on "their" laps on the huge "Leader Board" that is on display at the speedway through out the Winchester 400 Weekend. Also, for every individual that buys a lap, they will be entered into a drawing to receive two (2) Season Tickets for the 2009 racing season at Winchester Speedway. Additionally, any business that purchases at least four (4) laps will be entered into a drawing to receive a $3000.00 sponsorship package for the 2009 season at Winchester Speedway.

Howe Racing and SilverTowne of Winchester, Indiana have purchased the most lap sponsorships to date at 20 a piece. The Winchester Speedway Old Timers Group purchased 12, while JVM Racing and W & M Manufacturing of Portland Indiana have each purchased 10 laps.

Any and all support of this program will be greatly appreciated, especially by the racers who compete in this stellar stock car racing event. In some cases, it may be possible to request specific laps, however, due to laps purchased to date, the specific laps requested may not be available. For additional information, or to reserve laps, please contact Greg Wood with Champion Racing Association at gregwood@craracing.net.

The 37th Annual Winchester 400 Weekend Presented By Ed Martin Auto Group and Renegade will be on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 10th, 11th and 12th with racing action from the Vore's Welding & Steel CRA FWD Compacts, CRA Street Stocks, Howe CRA Sportsman Series and The Run For The Gun Shootout for the O'Reilly USA Modified Series in addition to the famed Winchester 400 with NASCAR stars Kyle Busch and David Stremme competing against the best late model drivers in the country. For additional event information and to purchase advance tickets go to www.winchesterspeedway.com.

More information on the CRA Super Series is available at www.craracing.net.
