Matt Miller Heading to Eldora Speedway this Weekend

WATERVILLE, OH (October 1, 2008)- Matt Miller and the Stephen McCullough team will travel to Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH this weekend for the "Moser UMP Nationals". The two day event will start on Friday with qualifying and then on Saturday the heats races, B-mains and 40-lap $5,000 to win feature event will take place. Matt will also secure the Eldora Speedway Late Model Division track championship by entering the event this weekend and will hold the title of track champion at one of the most famous race tracks in the country. Matt finished a strong 4th place in the World 100 the last time he visited the famous track.

Matt Miller and the Moring Motorsports Team traveled to Knoxville, IA for the Lucas Oil Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway this past weekend. Thursday's events saw Matt qualify 3rd fastest out of the 63 cars entered. Matt would finish 3rd in his heat race and ran well in the feature event finishing 7th at the checkers. On Friday's events Matt qualified 8th fastest, finished 3rd in his heat and led five laps early in the feature but finished 8th in the final run down. On Saturday's main $40,000 to win feature event Matt would start 4th in the 100-lap feature event but suffered a flat tire in the first few laps on the feature. Matt was able to change the tire but would go to the rear of the field on the restart. Matt would charge through the field into the top ten late in the feature but suffered a broken valve in the motor finishing 22nd in the final run down.

"We had a really good car all three nights and again just had some bad luck that kept us from getting a win out there. Getting that flat tire early in Saturday's feature was a bummer because I really felt I had a car to win Saturday, but we ended up breaking a motor so I guess it didn't matter. Were excited about going back to Eldora and hopefully getting a win to go along with our track championship this year", stated Matt.
