VIENNA, WV (August 28, 2008)- Steve Shaver and the Shaver Motorsports Cosgrove Racing Team are busy preparing their equipment for several big events coming up over the next week. Steve's tentative plans include traveling on Sunday August 31st to a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned event the "Hillbilly 100" at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV. The Lucas Oil sanctioned event will pay a whopping $40,000 to the winner of the 100-lap feature event. From there Steve plans to prepare for the granddaddy of all dirt late model events the World 100 at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH on Friday and Saturday September 5-6th. This years World 100 will pay $41,000 to the winner of the 100-lap feature event.

Including in the weekend festivities this year at the World 100, Steve Shaver will participate in the Sunoco Race Fuels Pre-Race Show, Presented by Dirt on Dirt held on Friday September 5th from 2-5pm in front of the pond outside of turn four. Steve is a part of Team Sunoco and will be a featured guest on the pre-race show.

Voting continues for the Alltel Allstar contest through September 9th. With a top 5th place finish at Muskingum County Speedway during the World of Outlaws sanctioned event and the Alltel Ohio Speedweek, Steve is eligible to win $10,000 as part of the Alltel Allstar contest where fans can vote for their favorite driver. The driver that earns the most votes between July 27th and September 9th will be awarded the Alltel Allstar award and the $10,000.
