Official Entry Forms and Corrected Race Info Now Online for 2nd Annual Lucas Oil Go-Kart Shootout set for Oct. 24-26

JACKSONVILLE, FL (August 18, 2008)- The official entry form and the corrected race information is now online at www.earlpearsonjr.net. To download the "Official" Entry Form click on the link for the Lucas Oil Go-Kart Shootout and go to the entry form page. We apologize for any misunderstanding with previously posted information on the website. As of today August 18, 2008 the corrected entry form and race information is now posted. Earl Pearson Jr. was still in negotiation with the tracks and certain sponsors when the first press release was released. The website contained information from the 2007 event and some new information for the 2008 event. The website has now been corrected and all the information on the website is Official for the 2008 Lucas Oil Go-Kart Shootout. Again please disregard any information that may have been posted previously and only check the website as of today August 18, 2008 for the corrected information.

The 2nd annual Lucas Oil Go-Kart Shootout has been set for October 24, 25 and 26th and will be presented again by 4-time national dirt late model champion driver Earl Pearson Jr. This years mega event will take place at Conway Speedway in Conway, South Carolina and is expected to be even bigger than last years event that drew close to 500 entries from all over the southeast. The feature event of the three day weekend will again be the Lucas Oil Pro Class that will pay $8,000 to win on Sunday October 26th. The Lucas Oil Shootout weekend will start on Friday October 24th with a practice night. Then on Saturday October 25th racers will compete in a full schedule of multiple classes paying money and contingency awards. On Sunday October 26th the schedule of events will be highlighted with the Lucas Oil Pro Class paying a whopping $8,000 to win with a unique qualifying format of qualifying and heat races to make the 30 kart starting field.

This year's event will take place at Conway Speedway near Myrtle Beach in Conway South Carolina and will be unsanctioned. All classes will be using WKA Engine Rules, open tire rules and AMB Timing and Scoring. All classes will qualify and line up straight up for features EXCEPT for the Lucas Oil Pro Class. The Lucas Oil Pro Class will qualify and run heat races to fill the 30 Kart starting field. Earl Pearson Jr. has signed on Lucas Oil again this year as the title sponsor of the three day event.
