LaMance Finds Victory Lane in GM Performance Crate LM Race, Barbare Victorious in Limited Sportsman Race

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. -July 19, 2008- Hot Rod LaMance claimed the official victory in the GM Performance Crate Late Model race ran at the Travelers Rest Speedway on Saturday night July 19, 2008. LaMance led every lap of the race and took the victory. Greg Pilgrim pressed LaMance throughout the race and the two battled side by side several times but in the end LaMance was able to hold Pilgrim off to secure the victory. Greg Pilgrim finished second. Johnny Raines finished third. Brian Easler finished fourth. Tim Leonard finished fifth.

Michael Barbare claimed the official victory in the Limited Sportsman race. Barbare led every lap of the race and was never challenged for the top position during the race. Scott Galloway finished second. Tony Coggins finished third. Nathan Hughes finished fourth. John Cook finished fifth.

Kenneth Bowers claimed the official victory in the Stock Eight race. Bowers led every lap of the race but the victory did not come easily. Timmy Smith was all over Bowers every lap of the race but Bowers held him off to each time. Timmy Smith finished second. Steve Massey finished third. Tim Rackley finished fourth. Roger Gilliam finished fifth.

Timmy Smith claimed the official victory in the Renegade race. Donnie Leonard led the early laps in the race with Timmy Smith all over him. Eventually there was contact and Smith took over the lead. A lap later Leonard had to go to the pits with a flat. Timmy Smith led the remainder of the race and took the victory. Dwight Smith pressed Timmy Smith several times but failed to get past him. Dwight Smith finished second. Roger Gilliam finished third. Donnie Leonard came from the rear and finished fourth. Mark Anders finished fifth.

Nick Adams claimed the official victory in the Pure Stock race. Adams came from near the rear of the field to take the victory. Michael Burns led the race until Adams made his way to the front. Mike Watson finished second. Michael Burns finished third. Joey Chastain finished fourth. Jody Trivette finished fifth.

Joey Kelly claimed the official victory in the Stock Four race. Joey Kelly led every lap of the race on his way to the victory. Matt Gilbert moved to the second position near the middle of the race and put the pressure to Kelly numerous times but failed to over take him. Matt Gilbert finished second. Kevin Kelly finished third. Darrell Gilbert finished fourth. Matthew McDonald finished fifth.

Zeke Whitman claimed the official victory in the Young Guns race. Whitman led every lap of the race and picked up his second victory in a row. Whitman easily out distanced the remainder of the field. Matt Spencer finished second. Morgan Gentry finished third. Mitchell Marcus finished fourth. Jacob Leonard finished fifth.
