Jason Fitzgerald heads to O'Reilly Southern All Stars Sanctioned Events this Weekend

JACKSONVILLE, FL (July 16, 2008)- Jason Fitzgerald and the Mixson Motorsports Team with new sponsor Tire Kingdom will travel to three of O'Reilly Southern All-Stars Series sanctioned events this coming weekend. On Friday July 18th Jason will compete at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA for a $5,000 to win sanctioned event. Then on Saturday July 19th Jason will compete at the Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, TN for another $5,000 to win sanctioned event. The final leg of the three events will take place on Sunday at Rome Speedway for another $5,000 to win feature event. All three events will count towards the O'Reilly Southern All-Stars Series point's standings. Jason is currently second in the series points and leads the "Rookie of the Year" title on the series in 2008.

Jason and the Mixson Motorsports Team competed this past weekend on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at North Alabama Speedway in Alabama and registered a 19th place finish after get up in a wreck ending his night. Jason also competed at Columbus Speedway in Columbus Mississippi this past weekend in another Lucas Oil sanctioned event but failed to make the feature event.

"We struggled a little this past weekend with a new car. We found a few things wrong with the car when we got home and hopefully we'll have it working better for this weekends events on the Southern All-Stars Series events", stated Jason.
