Steve Shaver Finishes 4th at Tyler County Speedway

VIENNA, WV (July 16, 2008)- Steve Shaver and the Shaver Motorsports/Cosgrove Racing Team traveled to Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV and competed in the Independent Racing Series sanctioned event. The 50-lap $5,000 to win feature event attracted 38 drivers as Shaver would post the second fastest lap during qualifying. Shaver would finish second in the dash and started the feature event from the 2nd starting position. Steve would maintain in the top five throughout the event and finished a solid 4th in the final run down.

"We had a good run this past weekend and we were pleased to get a top five finish close to home. With fuel prices the way they are it just makes sense to stay close to home and run these IRS races. We'll take this weekend off and get ready for several events next week", stated Steve.

Steve and the Shaver/Cosgrove Racing Team will take this weekend off from racing and prepare for several events next week. Steve will travel to Muskingum County speedway in Zanesville, OH on July 24th and compete in a $7,000 to win World of Outlaw sanctioned event. Then on July 25th Steve will travel to Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH for another World of Outlaws sanctioned event that will pay $10,000 to win. Then on July 26th Steve and the team will compete at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV for a $5,000 to win IRS sanctioned event.
