“The Grimey One” Leads Flag to Flag Capturing His First Win of the Season at Caraway Speedway

ASHEBORO, N.C. -June 21, 2008- Once again a built engine pulls into victory lane at Caraway Speedway. Stephen Grimes of Siler City, known by his fans as “The Grimey One, started on the pole in the 75 lap NASCAR Late Model Stock portion of USG Night. Mack Little of Kernersville brought home another second place finish with his crate engine. Bear Creek’s Dan Moore, Rockingham’s Randy Benson and Linwood’s Craig Oliver rounded out the top five finishers.

Rich Hunter of Advance continues his domination in the Sportsman division taking home his fourth win of the season. Ron Burchette of Walkertown, Ricky Frazier of Randleman, AJ Lain of Archdale and Daniel Schadt of Asheboro rounded out the top five finishers.

In the Custom Steel Fabricators Super Mini Truck event Scottie York of Asheboro took home the win. Ron Thayer of Troy, Glenn Chriscoe Jr of Randleman, Wade Turner of Asheboro and Jerry Chriscoe of Randleman rounded out the top five finishers.

In the Mini Stock event Michael Tucker of Thomasville took home the win. Mike Lowery of Walktertown, Jacob Creed of Ararat, Pnut Vernon of Walkertown and Bobby Smith Jr of Lexington rounded out the top five finishers.

In the cab car event Gary Dillard of Thomasville took home the win.

Our next event will be the Lewis & Daggett Attorneys at Law Rusty Harpe Memorial 300 featuring a 200 Lap NASCAR Late Model Stock and 100 Lap Late Model Super Truck event. Also on hand will be the Limited Late Models and Mini Stocks. Grandstands will open at 5pm and the event will get underway at 8pm. The Nascar Whelen Southern Modifed Tour will be back on Friday July 4th battling for 150 laps of open wheeled action. Also on hand will be a 60 lap Sportsman event, Legends, Street Stock and U-Cars.
