| Dwight Huffman Racing Announces New Partnership | Dwight Huffman Racing (DHR) is pleased to announce their new partnership with local favorite Shane Huffman for this week’s running of the “Rick Bowman Memorial” Races to be held at Hickory Motor Speedway.
As the sorrow slowly subsides from the hearts of Audrey, Davie and Ashley Huffman, on the recent tragic passing of their loving Husband & Father Dwight, there thoughts are turning to the family’s love of local short track racing where Dwight was known as a Legendary Short Track Car Owner who in 1997 his team won the most coveted title in Weekly Short Track Racing the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series National Championship with Dexter Canipe Sr. behind the wheel.
DHR’s racing accomplishments also include winning the Late Model Stock Car Track Championships at Hickory Motor Speedway in 1986 & 1998, Tri-County Motor Speedway in 1993 and Greenville Pickens Speedway in 1997& 1998.
With Shane Huffman behind the wheel of one of their potent “Knob Rocket” Dodge’s they are very confident in the Driver and Team’s ability to score a victory right out of the box. Huffman’s racing resume includes the 2003 Hooter’s Pro Cup National Championship, Three Southern Division Hooter’s Pro Cup Championships and 1999 Late Model Stock Car Track Champion at Hickory Motor Speedway which earned him the 1999 NASCAR Blue Ridge Regional Championship just missing the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series Title by 1/1000th of a point. Huffman stated that it’s great to be racing again in front of my hometown friends and family especially in a potent Dwight Huffman Racing Team prepared car. Have an opinion on this story?
