VIENNA, WV -February 1, 2007- Steve Shaver and the Shaver Motorsports/Cosgrove Racing Team competed at the ultra fast Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick Georgia last night posted the 5th fastest lap in qualifying to earn a starting spot in the $2500 to win 30 lap feature event. Steve maintained his position in the top ten throughout the event and finished 7th in the final down. Steve and the Ludicrous Energy Drink sponsored race team will compete in all four events at Golden Isles Speedway and then travel to Tampa to compete in the East Bay Winternationals February 5-10th. From there Steve will travel to Volusia Speedway Park and compete each night in the UMP and WoO sanctioned events in Barberville, Florida.

Steve the 2006 North/South 100 Winner is eagerly looking forward to the 2007 racing season and more marketing promotions in association with his new sponsor Ludicrous Energy Drink. "2006 was a pretty decent year for our team and our partnership with Ludicrous Energy Drink. This year is the best prepared I've ever been starting off the season. I am excited to get at the track and get racing again", stated Steve.
