BLOOMQUIST BLASTS TO $10,000 WIN AT GOLDEN ISLES SPEEDWAY

Brunswick, GA –February 2, 2007- Scott Bloomquist used an outside front row starting spot to launch a fifty lap victory journey around Golden Isles Speedway in Friday night’s O’Reilly Southern All Stars Series main event.

Bloomquist led wire-to-wire and held off a last lap charge by Dennis Franklin to take the win. The ten thousand dollar payday for Bloomquist came in the Miller Brothers Coal, All-Star Performance sponsored Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The winning mount is a Bloomquist chassis powered by a Vic Hill Racing Engine.

“This racetrack is in the best shape that I’ve ever seen in all of the years we’ve been coming here,” said Bloomquist in victory lane. “A lot of good people are behind this program and this team was prepared when we left the shop for this race. We can’t wait until tomorrow night to try and do it again.”

Franklin, Billy Moyer, Dan Schlieper and Ivedent Lloyd rounded out the top-five in the finishing order. The final night of racing action for this year’s SuperBowl of Racing III will get underway at 6:00 pm Saturday evening with a $12,000 to win payday awaiting the winner of the 60 lap main event. The NLMS late models will also compete in a $3,000 to win 30 lap affair.
