FINDLAY, OH - Officials with the Independent Racing Series have released the 2007 Racing Schedule which will mark events in six states in just its inaugural season.
The opening event on the tour will include a stop at the Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, Ohio on Friday April 13 paying $5,000 to the winner.
On Friday May 18 the Independent Racing Series will head into Indiana for the Hoosier Challenge at the Union County Speedway in Liberty, Indiana and then to the Twin Cities Raceway Park in North Vernon, Indiana on Saturday May 19, 2007 for part two of the two-night Hoosier Challenge. Both events will pay $5,000 to the winner.
The series' next stop will be on Sunday May 27, 2007 at the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio for the Memorial Day Weekend special paying $5,000 to the winner.
Then the series will move onto the Challenger Raceway in Kent, Pennsylvania on Sunday June 10 for a $5,000 to win event before heading to the Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia on Saturday June 16. The event will pay $5,000 to win.
On Saturday June 23, 2007 the series will head over to Jim Nier's KC Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio for the annual "The Night the Stars Come Out" event which will pay $5,000 to win.
On Friday July 20, the series will make another stop at the Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, Ohio paying $5,000 to win.
The series will then make a stop over at the Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Virginia on Saturday July 28, 2007 paying $5,000 to the winner.
On Friday August 3, 2007 the series will travel to the Elkins Motor Speedway in Elkins, West Virginia for $5,000 to win. The following night Saturday August 4 the series will make a stop at Frank Plessinger's Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland for the $5,000 to win 27th annual Shorty Bowers Bull Durham Championship.
On Friday August 24, the series will move to the 5/8th's mile speedplant West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, West Virginia for a $5,000 to win event. Following the West Virginia stop on Friday the series will head back to the Buckeye state of Ohio on Saturday for a $5,000 to win event at the Waynesfield Motorsports Park in Waynesfield, Ohio.
The series will take a few weeks off and head back over into Indiana to the famed Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana for a $5,000 to win event.
More events will be released on the 2007 Race Schedule upon their completion. Within the next week to ten days the remainder of the schedule will be in place.
