| Friday, December 30, 2005 | | | Paris to compete in second Annual Coca-Cola Young Guns Shoot-Out | Muscatine, Iowa -December 29, 2005- Twenty-two-year-old Shane Paris from Muscatine, Iowa is proud to announce that he will be teaming up with Richard Stelter Racing from Rochester, Minn. to compete in 2 events in February 2006. They will be campaigning a 2006 Mike Chasteen Modified Chassis with sponsorship coming from Real Floor Solutions, HeartlandMotorsports.com, and Mike Chasteen Race Cars.
The first race will be the 2nd Annual Coca-Cola Young Guns Shoot-Out presented by Stock Car Racing and Circle Track Magazines this upcoming February 2, 3 and 4. This event was designed for drivers 23 years of age creates an opportunity for professional race teams to scout racing talent at one location, Oglethorpe Speedway Park.
Next stop on the Southern Winter swing will be a stop at the traditional 35th Winter Nationals Advance Auto Parts Florida Tour at Volusia Speedway Park for the UMP Open-Wheel Modifieds race (Feb. 7-14).
Upon announcing his plans, Shane commented, "I am very excited to get the opportunity to drive for Richard Stelter during the Young Guns shoot-out and the Winter Nationals. He puts the best of the best in his car and gives me a great chance to challange for the win".
Shane Paris has been racing for the past nine seasons in three different divisions, go-karts, IMCA Stock Cars, and open-wheel modifieds. He has competed at several tracks in Iowa such as Knoxville Raceway, Southern Iowa Speedway, Iowa State Fair Speedway, Eldon Raceway, CJ Raceway, and has competed in the Annual Spring Nationals at Beatrice Speedway. Shane has picked up feature wins at CJ Raceway, Hawkeye Raceway, Eldon Raceway, and Newton Kart Klub over his career.
