KNOXVILLE, Iowa -November 29, 2005- The competition for the “good seats” at the 4-day Knoxville Nationals takes on a new dimension on December 1st when anyone with access to the internet can “pick & pay” from any available seats. With reserved seating for almost 25,000, just about half the seats will be available at that time.
By going to www.knoxvilleraceway.com and clicking on the event logo marked with “Online Seats”, fans can look at individual seating in any of the 31 front and back straight grandstand sections. Seat selection is instantaneous as each seat is “clicked”. Pricing is calculated and secure payments made with American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards. Knoxville Raceway prints and mails electronic tickets within days of each order.
From October 1st through November 15th each year long-time Knoxville Nationals reserved seat holders get to renew their tickets for the coming year. In the past those wanting to buy 4-day reserved seats had to do it by phone, mail or a visit to the ticket office. Those ordering between December 1st and February 28th will be eligible to renew in coming years.
With attendees from all 50 states, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe, the event has become famous as a gathering place for fans of all types of racing. According to Ralph Capitani, Director of Racing for 38 years, “This move to Online seat sales is as important to Knoxville Raceway’s continued growth as our adding new stands, suites, the JumboTron TV Scoreboard and our own live TV broadcasts. And we don’t have any bad seats. You can see everything from all the seats”.
Reserved seats will continue to be available by phone, mail and at the ticket office all year. For additional information go to www.knoxvilleraceway.com or call (641) 842-5431. Have an opinion on this story? Post a message on the Message Board! or send a letter to the editor!
