Cleveland, GA - Hard hitting stock car racing Veteran Micky Cain of Cleveland, Georgia, returns to racing at the Snowball Derby at Pensacola's Five Flag Speedway the first weekend of December. Cain will attempt to qualify for the Snowflake 100 event for Pro Late Models, the night before the annual Snowball Derby.
Cain has been semi-retired over the past few seasons due to commitments at area speedways. He currently serves as Competition Director for the Georgia Asphalt Series and is also General Manager of Peach State Speedway in Jefferson, Georgia.
"I have been looking forward to getting back on the track and competing again, said Cain. I haven't been able to race because of my position at the speedway and with the GAS Series."
His sponsors for the race include Spencer Industrial Supply, long time sponsors, Phil-Mart Transportation, Makin' Big Tracs Heavy Equipment Hauling and Truck and Tractor Heavy Equipment Hauling.
Cain was the track champion at Peach State Speedway in 1997,1998 and 2000.
He also competed at other tracks throughout the Southeast. "I hear Peach State is similar to Five Flags (never been there) but, is very hard on tires," added Cain.
Cain will be driving the Dudley Motorsports Chevy and will sport his trademark bright orange #37.
