Wooster, OH -November 10, 2005- North central Ohio based dirt Late Model driver Doug Drown of Wooster, OH has debuted an all-new website devoted to the 23-year-old standout who will go on the road in 2006 for his anointed 'Back 'n Blue Tour 2006'. The new website is located at: www.dougdrown.com and was designed and will be maintained by Farr Motorsports. The new website will keep visitors appraised of the driver's racing and other activities throughout the year.
"I think the website is really great, Mike Farr and Doc did a really nice job putting it all together, but I guess in the back of my mind I knew it wasn't going to be anything less then great. Those guys always do everything top notch."
"I met Mike during the 2003 season when I ran the Renegade series and I'll admit I was a little hesitant to talk to him at first because I knew that he is a very respected person in this industry, but after a few conversations with him I became very comfortable talking to him because he is the type of guy that will help anyone out if they ask for his advice."
"I really believe having a website is going to help our team promote ourselves to a wider range of people and allow potential sponsors and long term fans become more familiar with our team and to keep updated on our performance and news."
During 2005 Drown scored the 2005 Wayne County Speedway championship driving the Wooster Glass, MCP Inc., Boles and Boreman Enterprises, Wooster Doll House, Lehman Motorsports Services sponsored Rocket Chassis/Malcuit Racing Engines #12.
"I really appreciate all the help Farr Motorsports and Lehman Motorsports Services has done for Drown Racing with the website and media coverage," continued Drown. "I know that if we can keep good people with us then good things will happen and this website is proof of that."
Drown will start his 2006 'Black 'n Blue Tour' on the road with an early season trip to Georgia for the 2nd Annual Coca-Cola Young Guns Shoot-Out at Oglethorpe Speedway Park in Savannah, GA. The historic half-mile speedway will once again showcase some of the nation's best dirt track racing talent the first weekend of February 2006 when Oglethorpe Speedway Park will host it's 2nd Annual Coca-Cola Young Guns Shoot-Out on February 2, 3 and 4, 2006.
The race, featuring drivers age 23 and younger, provides an opportunity for professional teams to observe and meet the talented young drivers in one location. Drown, coming off the 2005 Wayne County (OH) Speedway track championship, and a former Renegade and MACS regular, will hit the road in 2006 concentrating on sanctioned races, television races and major unsanctioned events.
