Southern All Star Supertruck Championship To Be Settled This Weekend At

HUNTSVILLE, AL—The O’Reilly Southern All Star Supertruck Series
will close out the 2004 season this Friday & Saturday night November 12th & 13th at the South Alabama Speedway in Opp, AL., with a pair of 100 lap events each night. Also on the line those two races are the 2004 Supertruck championship as it has been close all year and the final two races it will be a battle for the top spot and anything could happen.

Okie Mason of Eight Mile, AL., and Richard Johns of Lawrenceville, GA., are currently tied for the top spot as both of these drivers are looking for third first championship in the series. Mason is a rookie in the series this year with Johns in his third year of action with the series and both are hungry to get that first series title. Josh Adkins of Cumming, GA., is only 14 points behind the top spot in the third spot and he will be in contention both nights to grab the title, fourth place is Spencer Teal of Augusta, GA., who is only 32 points behind and in fifth place is Jeff Wainwright of Prattville, AL., who is only 62 point out of the top spot.

In the sixth spot is John Shuffler of Crestview, FL., seventh to Mike Davidson of Lula, GA., eighth to Roger Adkins of Canton, GA., ninth to Shannon Berry of Arab, AL., and tenth Brian Huff. All theses drivers will be in action this weekend


Other drivers that are expected to be at South Alabama this weekend include Cale Gale of Mobile, AL., Randy Gilbert, Greg Motes, Kevin Barrett, Jeff Lawley, William Horton Jr., and Paul Anthey

Action will get underway each day with pit gates opening at 1 pm, practice at 3 pm, qualifying at 7 pm and race time set for 8 pm each day. For more information contact the Southern All Stars at 256-539-4484 or www.southern-allstars.com
