Entries are Coming In for USA Speedway's 2005 SpeedFest

Lakeland, FL (December 28, 2004) – Entries for USA International Speedway’s 2005 SpeedFest are starting to come in. The CRA Super Series has the most entries to date with four including Wheaton, Illinois’s Eddie Hoffman, Edgerton, Ohio’s Jack Landis, Indianapolis, Indiana’s Eddie Van Meter and Muncie, Indiana’s Evan Jackson.

The Sunbelt Super Late Model Series has two entries to date from Joe Boyd of Riverview, Florida and Martin Pierce form Sanford, Florida. Pearland, Texas native Greg Davidson is the lone entry to date from the USRA Series and Wellington, Nova Scotia’s Gordie Ryan is the lone entry to date from the Pass Pro Stock Touring Series.

A reminder to all teams that will be participating in the 2005
SpeedFest, to be eligible for series bonus money and travel money,
advanced event entries must be post-marked by January 13th, 2005.

The 2005 SpeedFest will include three nights of racing, with
feature events on all three nights and will involve five of the top
Super Late Model racing organizations in the United States including the CRA Super Series, Sunbelt Super Late Model Series, O’Reilly Southern All-Star Racing Series, and the combination of the PASS Pro Stock Touring Series from the North East and USRA (United States Racing Association) formerly the ROMCO Series from Texas.

The schedule calls for rig parking, registration and open
practice on Wednesday, January 26. Thursday will see the first night of racing with the focus on the cars and stars from the Sunbelt Super Late Model Series and the O’Reilly Southern All-Star Racing Series, with the top 10 qualifiers from each series guaranteed starting positions and the rest of the field open to all late model competitors. Friday night racing will feature the top stars from the CRA Super Series and a combination of the PASS Pro Stock Touring Series and USRA, with the top 10 qualifiers from each group guaranteed starting positions and the rest of the field open to all late model competitors.

The weekend will culminate with a 200-lap, $8000 to win event on Saturday night featuring all the top stars in short track racing, all battling to be the “King Of The Super Late Models” with bragging rights for the entire 2005 race season!
