Florence Speedway will then play host on Friday Night, April 9 to the 2004 season debut of the O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series. The $3000 to win main event will be preceded by a full program for the BoB Late Models with time trials, heat races and consy events. BoB rules and format will be in effect for the Friday night event. In the two previous visits to the track in 2003 the series saw two Hoosier State drivers take home the money with Scott James of Lawrenceburg, IN winning the "Ralph Latham Memorial Race" and Scottsburg, IN's Mike Jewell taking the season finale in October by winning the "Fall 50".

On Saturday Night, April 10 the cameras of ESPN2 will be at the Florence Speedway as the North American Racing Association (NARA) makes its debut at Florence Speedway for the annual "Spring 50". There will be a complete race program for the NARA Late Models with time trials, heat races, consy events and the 50 lap feature which will pay $10,000 to win. The event will be taped for telecast on ESPN2 at a date to be announced.

Both nights at Florence for the Late Models will feature double file restarts in the main event.
