Stacker2 Xtreme Dirtcar Series Confirms 34 Dates at 28 Tracks

2004 Schedule For Stacker2 Xtreme DirtCar Series Released!!!

by Bret Emrick

Shelby,NC 2-18-04 The long awaited 2004 schedule for the Stacker2 Xtreme DirtCar Series has been released by series owner/president Doug Bland. The 2004 schedule shows 34 confirmed dates to be contested at 28 different race tracks in a 16 state area with 9 dates yet to be confirmed. Over $400,000 in first place money alone will be up for grabs from the nearly $1,700,000 in feature purses. Those totals could swell to over $500,000 in first place money and over $2,000,000 in feature purses once the open dates are filled. Throw in a $345,000 point fund, several thousand more dollars in "Winners Circle" money and sponsor contingencies for the 2004 season and total monies and prizes available could easily top the $2,500,000 mark.

"I think the schedule is very strong and will get stronger as we fill in the open dates", stated Bland. "It should be a very exciting season as we will compete at some of the very best facilities in the country. And, we will make seven first time visits in 2004 which really has me excited. If the recent racing at East Bay Raceway Park was any indication of what the season has in store, I can't wait. It will be a long season for the teams but the rewards they have at the end of the season will definitely make it worth it." Bland also stated, "The response from the fans at East Bay about the racing and the marketing concepts we presented with Stacker2, Goodyear, Gemini Auto Care Centers and Lucas Oil was all positive. Those things will continue and it's all for the fans. This schedule we have should be exciting for them. And, for the news fans that have never seen us before."

The chase for the 2004 Stacker2 Xtreme DirtCar Series "YJ STINGER CUP" Championship began Feb. 3 at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa,FL.
