USCS President and Founder Pete Walton was on hand for the announcement and to welcome the AOAS drivers and teams into the USCS and invite them to the series opener at Volusia Speedway Park on Tuesday February 3rd and Wednesday, February 4th. Walton also announced that NASCAR racing great, Ernie Irvan had become affiliated with the ownership and management of the series and will be very involved in future marketing efforts of the USCS.
"The two series will immediately merge our management teams and our efforts to continue the growth of sprint car racing for drivers and teams based in the Southeastern United States" said Walton. "We are so excited about the future of this merger with the drivers and teams of the AOAS and excited about working with Bob and Sherry. We are very thankful for the additional experience the Woods' bring to our USCS team" concluded Walton.
