ADAMS CHARGES TO TENTH USCS WIN AT SOUTHERN NATIONAL SPEEDWAY

ADAMS CHARGES TO TENTH USCS WIN AT SOUTHERN NATIONAL SPEEDWAY

KENLY, NC - Kenny Adams of Malabar, FL charged to his tenth
United Sprint Car Series win of the season Saturday night at Southern
National Speedway in USCS Asphalt Thunder action driving the Goodson Farms
Shaw/Ott. After starting eighth, Adams stormed through the competitive
field to take the lead on lap 23 in front of a packed house.

The victory in the 40-lap USCS main event that saw three
different race leaders, capped off a "Clean Sweep" for the "Malabar
Missile." Adams was the evening's Fast Qualifier, the winner of the Air
Flow Research six-lap Power Dash, and also won his 10-lap heat race, after
starting sixth.

The defending and three-time USCS National Champion Terry
Gray of Bartlett, TN, who led five laps of the race, finished second in the
Goodson Farms/Wendy's Maxim/Wesmar. The "Bartlett Bullet" remains as the
point leader in all USCS point chases, including National, Asphalt Thunder,
Outlaw Dirt, Sunbelt Tour, and the Air Flow Research Power Dash points.

Jim Raptis of Marietta, GA followed up his Friday night USCS
win in Hudson, NC with a third-place finish on Saturday night driving the
ERI Maxim/ERI. Doug Berryman of Mansfield, OH took the fourth spot in the
Rebman Truck Service Beaberbuilt/Gressman, and also won the second heat
race.

Chad Allum of Kannapolis, NC posted his first top five finish of the season
in the Heintz Performance Allum/Allum. Butch Pendergrass of Winston-Salem,
NC was sixth in the Pro-Life Maxim/Harp.

Will Ragsdale of Easley, SC took the seventh spot in the Chick-Fil-A
Clincher/ERI. C.J. Miller of Mooresville, NC posted his second straight top
ten finish with an eighth-place effort in the Miller Racing Maxim/Jay's
Automotive.

Jimmy Taylor of Green Pond, SC broke a rear suspension part
on the final lap of the race, but came around to take the checkered flag in
a shower of sparks to claim the ninth position in the Taylor Automotive &
Machine Eagle/Taylor. R.J. Johnson of Decatur, TN was the Rookie of the
Race with a tenth-place finish in the Leaf Race Wear/Pin Rings J&J/ZRE.

Danny "The Hammer" Martin Jr. of Sarasota, FL took the lead
at the start of the race from the outside front row starting spot, followed
by polesitter Doug "Solid" Gold of Concord, NC in the Heintz Performance
Gold/Jerico, Ragsdale, Gray and Allum. Gray came from the sixth starting
hole to move up to third spot on lap three, and Adams was up to fifth by lap
five.

Martin pulled out to a comfortable lead, but behind him,
Gold, Gray, Raptis, and Adams were waging war in lapped traffic for the
second spot.

There was a clashing of the colors on lap 14 when Gold and
Gray got together on the backstretch, which knocked the front suspension out
from underneath Gold's car. Gold did a nice job of keeping his race car out
of the wall, but the caution flag was displayed to close up the field.
Martin was the leader with Gray moving up to second, followed by Raptis,
Adams, and Berryman.

Adams made a move on Raptis on the restart to move up to
third, while Gray turned up the wick to put pressure on Martin for the lead.

With Martin taking the last two USCS Outlaw Thunder Dirt
Tour wins, "The Hammer" was leading the race on the asphalt at Southern
National Speedway trying to prove he was a "hot shoe" on the paved tracks as
well. That's what he did, both literally and figuratively, as a seal in the
rear end assembly began to spray hot gear lube on his feet.

With Martin having happy feet on the gas pedal, Gray made an
inside move on Martin going into turn one on lap 18 to grab the lead.
Martin tried to battle back to reclaim the point, but Adams passed him for
second on lap 20.

Adams quickly caught Gray, stepped to the outside, and took the lead on lap
23. Adams then packed his bags, turned in the key, and checked out on the
field.

Raptis got by Martin on lap 26 for the third spot. Martin was trying to
hang on for a top five finish, but his feet got too hot, and he parked the
car in the turn one grass on lap 32 to bring out the final caution flag of
the race. Martin received the Weld Racing Hard Luck Award.

With his eighth to victory run, Adams shared the Huggins Race Cams Hard
Charger with Tom Paterson of Argos, IN, who started his Jenkins Automotive
Stealth/Paterson 18th and finished 11th. Bruce Cline of Apex, NC received
the FSR Performance Award. Adams was the fast qualifier turning a lap
around the 4/10-mile SNS in 12.918 seconds for an average speed of 111.472
miles per hour.

USCS returns to the dirt tracks on August 6 and 7 with USCS Outlaw Thunder
Dirt Tour action. The first stop will be Sugar Creek Raceway in Blue Ridge,
GA on August 6, and then USCS will make its annual visit to Dixie Speedway
in Woodstock, GA on August 7. For more information, visit the USCS web site
