PENDLETON, Ind. (January 21, 2004) - Trevor Stewart, who served as crew chief of the No. 91 Grandstay Residential Suites Chevrolet in 2003, has been promoted by car owner Rod Lindquist to compete for the $50,000 Rookie of the Year award in the ASA National Tour.

"I had a great opportunity to get involved with Rod (Lindquist) last year as the crew chief and in 2004 I'm very pleased to be driving for him," said Trevor Stewart. "Last season was a steep learning curve for our race team, but we gained a lot of knowledge about ASA Racing and I'm confident we can build upon that."

Stewart, 30, began his racing career in 1994, competing in the Sportsman division at the Minnesota dirt tracks of Willmar, Brainerd and Aitkin. In 1996, he advanced to dirt Modifieds, making appearances in Wisconsin, Minnesota and South Dakota. He has
scored approximately 50 victories in Modifieds.

In 2002, Stewart continued racing dirt Modifieds while also making starts on asphalt for the first occasions. He won a modified event at ASA Member Track I-94 Raceway in Sauk Centre.

Last season, Stewart made select appearances in Late Models at I-94 Raceway while also serving as crew chief for ETC Motorsports and rookie driver Jesse Klug. The 2004 season brings a unique change for Stewart, coming off the crew chief war wagon to the driver's seat.

"Trevor has a tremendous work ethic and has experienced a lot of racing success in the past which should continue to benefit the team in 2004," said Rod Lindquist, owner of ETC Motorsports. "We are looking at the big picture. The goal is to qualify for every
event and finish in the top 15 in points. I want to build our ASA program and continue to learn as much as possible."

The 2004 ASA National Tour begins its 37th season at USA International Speedway in Lakeland, Fla., on Saturday, March 27. The 200-lap event will be televised on SPEED Channel.
