Southern Oregon Speedway Accepts Invitation to ASA Member Track Program

PENDLETON, Ind. (December 17, 2003) -- The expanding American Speed Association Member Track program has formed an agreement with Southern Oregon Speedway in Southwestern Oregon for the 2004 season. Southern Oregon Speedway becomes the first track in the state of Oregon to join ASA's weekly racing program.

"We are very pleased to be one of the first tracks to join the ASA Member Track program," said Southern Oregon Speedway promoter John Skinner. "We met with our competitor base and everybody is excited about the 2004 season. We are honored to be associated with ASA."

Southern Oregon Speedway is located near Medford, just above the California state line. The track is a .333-mile, semi-banked oval holding weekly racing from April to October in the divisions of Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Super Four, Sprint Cars, Mini Stocks and Dwarf
Cars.

"Southern Oregon Speedway brings the ASA Member Track program to another important region of our country," said Dennis Huth, ASA Member Track director. "The entire Jackson County Sports Park is impressive and the Medford region has a great racing background. We are pleased to add Southern Oregon Speedway to our growing roster of ASA Member Tracks."

The ASA Member Track program is designed for weekly short track venues to make available many of the policies, principles, procedures and components that have made the American Speed Association a premier short track sanctioning body for 36 years.

Participating tracks receive contributions to their year-end points fund, marketing opportunities, and join a small, select group of elite tracks displaying the ASA Member Track logo.

ASA Member Tracks showcase exciting competition with their local racing programs, providing training grounds for the ASA Racing stars of tomorrow. Through the ASA Member Track program, "We Build Champions. "

The American Speed Association offers racing on three levels: ASA National Tour, ASA Late Model Series and through the rapidly expanding ASA Member Track program.
