| Thursday, October 30, 2003 | | | Ernie Irvan will Grand Marshall USCS East Bay Raceway Park event Saturday |  Winston Cup racing legend Ernie Irvan will be the Grand Marshall Saturday night when East Bay Raceway Park presents the Lonnie Prevatt Memorial Race featuring the drivers from across the nation in their 700 horsepower USCS "Outlaw Thunder" Tour winged sprint cars.
The popular and fan friendly Irvan will be on hand to meet and greet fans at the speedway from 4:30 p.m.until 6:30 p.m. His duties include acting as honorary starter for the 35 lap United Sprint Car Series Lonnie Prevatt Memorial Main event.
Irvan won 15 times in Winston Cup, sat on the pole 22 times, had 68 top five finishes and finished in the top ten 124 times. Ernie encourages fans to bring their Irvan memoribilia to the track with them.
Friday night racing at the speedway will also feature the USCS "Outlaw Thunder" Tour and stock car racing in several of the East Bay Raceway weekly divisions in the Halloween night " Trick or Treat Thunder" with a full program of sprint car and stock car racing including feature races.
There will be a Halloween costume contest and kids will be invited to "Trick or Treat on the Track" as the drivers will bring their cars out onto the track and have treats in store for them.
