$5000 - 10 lap Airflow Research Super Power Dash fields "almost set"

Barberville, Florida - The top six spots for the 10 lap, $5,000 to win (cash and merchandise) USCS United Sprint Car Series ( www.uscsracing.com ) / Airflow Research "Super Power" Dash field is "almost" set, with one AFR Power Dash qualifier left on Saturday October 18th at Volusia Speedway Park. Drivers have accumulated points all season thus far for the six guaranteed starting spots by participating in the dashes at each USCS event sponsored by the cylinder head manufacturer from Pacoima, California.

USCS defending national champion, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee has the pole position with Jim Raptis from Marietta, Georgia who trails Gray in this years USCS title chase outside front row. USCS Asphalt Thunder pavement series champion, Kenny Adams is inside second row and Randy Helton from Palmetto, Georgia has locked down the fourth spot. After that three drivers, Randy Weaver from Powder Springs, Georgia, Chris Hill from Wedowee, Alabama and Aubrey Black from Lookout Mountain, Georgia are vying for the last two gauranteed starting positions that are available. Four more spots will also be decided to complete the ten car field on Saturday night October 18th, via race points.

For more info on Airflow Research cylinder heads, the official SPEC cylinder head of the USCS please go to www.airflowresearch.com or contact them at 818-890-0616 or call USCS at 770-313-3477.

.in the is the 4th annual Goodson Farms, Inc. "Florida State Championship" Race on Saturday night October 18th at Volusia Speedway Park. The event on the famed half mile oval is sponsored for the third straight year by Goodson Farms, Inc., of the Balm, Florida. The produce grower is best known for it's Strawberry crops.

"We really appreciate what Donn Goodson and his Goodson Farms, Inc have done for the USCS "Florida State Championship" Race in the past" said USCS founder and President, Pete Walton. "This year's Florida state race will be a very special event as well. Per Donn's wishes, we have made it the Saturday night portion of our two day Volusia event" continued Walton. "It will pay $2500 to win this season with a total purse of over $12,000 to be paid out on Saturday night. We would have normally ran a preliminary night event and paid a smaller purse on the first night, but the continued Goodson Farms, Inc. sponsorship of the USCS Florida State Championship Race at Volusia has helped the event grow and we know the racers as well as USCS and Volusia Speedway Park really appreciate it" Walton concluded.

Tickets and race info is available for the event by calling the Volusia at 386-985-4402. USCS information is available at 770-313-3477 or visit the website at www.uscsracing.com.
