Greased Lightning Orange Blast 400 Highlights Elko Labor Day Weekend

Pendleton, Ind. (August 13, 2003) – For the second consecutive season, the ASA Racing Series visits Elko Speedway for the Greased Lightning Orange Blast 400 with the event moving to Labor Day Weekend on Monday, September 1. This season marks the only stop to Minnesota for the series that builds champions and the first occasion the .375-mile track has hosted a 400-lap ASA event.

ASA officials announced the Labor Day Classic has been given title sponsorship rights to Greased Lightning and a new product known as Orange Blast. Greased Lightning has an extensive involvement with ASA Racing both series and team sponsorships.

Utilizing the same technology as Greased Lightning, Orange Blast is a Super-Strength Multipurpose Cleaner Degreaser that contains more than twice the natural grease cutting orange oil than any other leading brands in the category. Orange Blast wipes out tough cleaning jobs, while leaving the room filled with the fresh citrus fragrance of
orange.

Orange Blast is great for removing built-up grease & grime and is also safe on a wide variety of surfaces including countertops, cabinets, aluminum, stainless steel, chrome, vinyl and much more. Orange Blast is available in a 32oz. spray bottle and NEW 67.6
oz. convenient refill size! Orange Blast can be purchased in food, drug, mass, and home improvement retailers nationwide.

Two-time ASA National Champion and short track legend Dick Trickle is a recent entry for Greased Lightning Orange Blast 400. Trickle is a 32-time winner in ASA Racing including four times at the former Minnesota State Fair Labor Day Classic. He will drive No. 99 car owned by Kevin Lang of Minnesota.

The Greased Lightning Orange Blast 400 on Monday, September 1, serves as a centerpiece to a host of other racing activities during the holiday weekend.

The Impact Racing National Pit Stop Challenge presented by BFGoodrich Tires and SK Hand Tool will be take place on Saturday and Sunday on Labor Day Weekend. In the opening round held at Burnsville Shopping Center from 2-5 p.m., all teams are invited to partake in this competition showcasing the pit crews. The top-10 finishing teams will compete in the championship round at Elko Speedway on Sunday evening, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The Pit Stop Challenge has total cash awards of $5,000 and
additional product prizes.

On Sunday at Elko, MARS and ASA begin practice starting at 11:30 a.m. ASA will set the field for the 400-lap event on Monday with pole qualifying at 4:30 p.m. with MARS qualifying taking place at 6. The Impact Racing National Pit Stop Challenge
presented by BFGoodrich Tires and SK Hand Tool rolls off at 7:30 with the 100-lap MARS event going green at 9. On Monday, ASA’s on-track fan autograph session and live musical entertainment are scheduled for noon with pre-race ceremonies set for
noon. The Greased Lightning Orange Blast 400 goes green at 1:30. (Local).
