ASA National Points Leader Cywinski Visits I-94 Raceway this Weekend

Sauk Centre, Minn. (August 6, 2003) — Current ASA Racing Series point’s leader Kevin Cywinski of Wausau, Wis. will make a special appearance at the ASA Racing Member Track I-94 Raceway in Sauk Centre, Minn. on Saturday
August 9.

Cywinski will compete in the ASA Late Model Division and will be made available for autographs. The 1997 ASA Champion and 1996 Rookie of the Year already has performed at a consistent level, collecting nine top-five finishes, 10 top 10s and two victories. During the first half of season, the driver of the SK Hand Tool / Great Clips Chevrolet initially won at Houston Motor Speedway in Texas and added a second trip to the winner’s circle at the Mansfield Motorsports Speedway in Ohio.

Also scheduled to race in the Late Model Division is 2004 ASA Rookie Of The Year candidate Joey Miller of Minnesota. A teammate to Cywinski, Miller has competed in 13 events in ASA, producing a best finish of seventh at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway in 2002. Last year, the 18-year-old Miller came through the entire field to win the October Nationals Super Stock main event at the I-94
Raceway. Country Joe Racing crew member Kurt Danko and KFAN Motorsports radio announcer Chris Hawkey will also be racing Late Models as a part of the regular race program.

Seven classes of cars will be running including: ASA Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks, Great North Legends, Thunder Cars, UCARs and TQ Stock Cars. Spectator gates open at 5:30, with Time Trials scheduled to begin at 6:00, followed by Racing at 7:00.
