A memorial service for "Wild" Bill Revard will be held Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Pinellas Park, 5495 Park Blvd. North. In lieu of flowers, a fund will be set up for Bill's son, Billy,
by Sunshine Speedway. Out of respect for Bill's family and because our hearts couldn't be in it, we have cancelled the Nov. 20th scheduled events here at Sunshine. Plans for a Figure 8 Memorial race in Bill Revard's Honor will be made at a later date. Bonnie Hill said the #10 of "Wild" Bill Revard will be retired from Figure 8 action.
In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been set up for Billy at the First
National Bank of Florida, 49th Street Office, 11030 49th St.,
Clearwater, Fl. 33762. Checks may be made payable to the Sunshine
Speedway Racing Association (S.S.R.A.) for Bill Revard, Jr. Donations
may be brought to the memorial service on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the
First Baptist Church of Pinellas Park, and the monies will be placed in
the account.
This Sunday, Nov 21st, LUGNUTS Race Bar & Grill in Largo, Florida has a large function planned to raise money for Lauren Klingensmith, and little Billy Revard will be included in the efforts. All racecars are WELCOME. Cars are expected form all over the Southeast, PLEASE have cars in place as early as possible. 10AM - T-Shirt SALES Start, Cars OPEN for viewing, Auction ITEMS on Display before SALE. 11AM - AUCTION Begins, collectibles, local racer donations, and one of a kind items. 12PM - DJ plays requests and Country Favorites. 12PM - DUNK TANK begins, FIRST in, GENE LASKAR, East Bay 02 Sprint Car Driver, many others scheduled for the dunk tank throughout the day. 1PM - Beer Sales BEGIN, while Drivers sign autographs by their cars. 2-5PM LIVE MUSIC on outdoor Stage. AUCTION and DUNK TANK continue throughout the day. Donations taken all day, AUCTION items taken all day.
