Karla, You only know me as a voice, I never really met you, even though I have met you. I did not know Bill very well, until this past summer. I have screamed the excitement of his close calls. I have help him celebrate his numerous wins for a year and a half, before I luckily sat down and talked to Bill. After that we talked often, about racing, family, and kids, I have 5 and he jokingly wondered what that must be like. I've admired his calm and insightful approach to his racing, His LOVE of family, and his never ending lust for another win. I was far from his best friend, he had 100s, but I will be his most vocal standard barer. God bless you, your son, and we will make sure Billy is always proud of his father and his accomplishments are never forgotten. SEE, I'm a little Billy of a father taken to soon, it was just something that happened, but it always hurt worse to find out years later, that for all the years he was involved in racing, few remember him. I know we cannot honor every racer who ever raced, but we must hold dear the memories of the very special few taken as they did what they did best, compete.
