| V-8 Thunder Stocks Debut at Volusia Speedway Park Saturday Night | BARBERVILLE, FL – October 9, 2008 —
Full bodied cars are spotlighted this Saturday night, October 11, at Volusia Speedway Park. Saturday’s Full Fender Frenzy features 4 divisions that fans are familiar with from the weekly program: Late Model, Street Stock, Sportsman and Mini-Stock. New this week will be the V-8 Thunder Stocks. Thunder Stocks are a “strictly stock” V-8 division that has provided fans at neighboring Ocala Speedway some remarkable racing action this summer. Volusia Speedway has plans to incorporate the Thunder Stocks as part of the regular weekly racing program for 2009. This Saturday will be an opportunity for Thunder Stocks to try out the fast ½ mile at Volusia for the first time.
VSP’s Full Fender Frenzy offers a special twist to the racing action. Point championships have been decided for 2008 so VSP staff is changing things up a bit for this week’s event. Racers who have won in 2008 may not participate in the division they have won in. VSP fans can look forward to some new faces in Victory Lane this week.
Look no further than Volusia Speedway for the fastest and most thrilling racing in the area.
Racing begins at 7:30 PM on Saturday night. Pit gates open at 4:00 PM and grandstands open at 5:00 PM. Adult admission is $10. Drive-In Parking is $10. Admission for students ages 11 to 15 is $5. Kids 10 and under will be admitted free. Pit passes are $25. UMP DIRTcar Members pay $22 for pit entry.
