| Mini-Stock Purse Grows for Volusia Speedway Full Fender Frenzy | BARBERVILLE, FL – October 1, 2008 —
The October 11, Full Fender Frenzy at Volusia Speedway Park offers a complete card of full fender stock cars plus a special twist: participants cannot have won a feature event at Volusia Speedway in 2008. The Full Fender Frenzy on October 11 features Late Model, Sportsman, Street Stock and Mini-stock divisions, plus the debut of the V-8 Thunder Stocks at Volusia Speedway. Winners of the Late Model, Sportsman and Street Stock main events will have guaranteed starting positions in the Convention Holiday Classic Main Events in December.
XTREME Racing with help from Quik Car Wash in Leesburg has stepped up to sweeten the deal for the Mini-Stock division on October 11. Their contributions will improve the entire Mini-Stock purse and increase the winner’s take to $300. Additionally, fans and racers will have the opportunity to take home special car wash certificates from Quik Car Wash. But that’s not all. Dan and Nick Kerr, both 2008 Mini-Stock feature winners at VSP, have contributed Race Engineering certificates to be randomly distributed among the Mini-Stock field.
Excitement builds for the Full Fender Frenzy and now Mini-Stock racers can look forward to special bonuses for this event.
The Full Fender Frenzy is the first round of special races leading up to the December Holiday Convention Classic. On November 22, Gone Hunting Night will showcase the Late Model, Street Stock, Sportsman, 4-Cyl Pure Stock and Modified divisions. Winners of the Late Model, Street Stock, Sportsman and Modified main events will earn guaranteed starting positions in the Convention Holiday Classic Main Events.
Adult admission on October 11 is $10; students 11-15 will be admitted for $5, and kids 10 and under are admitted free.
