| Sunoco Sunbelt 125 this Friday Night at Orlando SpeedWorld | by Jane Smith
Orlando, FL. (May 5, 2008) Friday night at Orlando SpeedWorld, the Sunoco Sunbelt Super Late Models will make their second appearance of three at SpeedWorld. Along with the Sunbelt 125 will be the Sportsman, Super Stock, Mini Stock and Strictly Stock. Friday night is also the night for Mini Stock drivers to get in free.
Tim Russell won the first Sunbelt race at Orlando SpeedWorld and Jeff Choquette recently topped the Billie Harvey Memorial Sunbelt race at New Smyrna Speedway. Going into race three of the 2008 season, the points are as follows:

Points are close for Tim Russell and Rookie Jeremy Colangelo but each know their way around Orlando SpeedWorld. Russell began his racing career in a Super Stock at SpeedWorld and Colangelo ran the RE/MAX Legends Series on Saturday night there. Both know the track well as it will be an even battle for who is better.
"This race was going to be the Marion Edwards Memorial," said General Manager Rusty Marcus, "but when the family and other important people could not make Friday night, it was decided to postpone that race until October. I really want the family there and Marty Little and without them present, it would just not be the Marion Edwards Memorial."
There will be a Thursday night practice for everyone from 5 to 10 pm. Cost is $10.00 per person and Sunbelt drivers may leave their haulers overnight if they wish.
On Friday, May 9, the pit gate will open at 2 pm with practice for the Sunbelt Super Lates ALONE from 3 to 4 pm. Division practice will follow with the Sunbelt drivers mixed in with it. Qualifying for the Sunoco Sunbelt Super Late Model 125 will be at 6:45 pm with racing action at 8 pm. Grandstands open at 6 pm.
General admission is $20.00, students and seniors (62 and older) $15.00, children 11 and under FREE.
