| DOUBLE POINTS this Saturday at Columbia Motorsports Park | CMP MEDIA
Lake City, FL (April 14, 2008) Fans are in for a treat this weekend when it is DOUBLE POINTS night for the Super Late Models, Sportsman, Pure Stock, Hornets, V-8 Bombers, and Queenbee Hornets at Columbia Motorsports Park. Double points are very important so drivers will do their best to top the field and gain those extra added points for the championship.
Jason Garver leads the Super Late Model points over Eddie Gainey and that will definitely be a good battle. Jimmy Andrews stands third followed by John Coffman and Nevin Gainey. Jason Garver was the 2007 Open Wheel Modified champion and is new this year to the Super Late Model division.
Charles Seroki leads the Sportsman division over Nevin Gainey, Brad Fiene, Jeff Prescott, Mike Marcellion and Brian Hull. Gainey has two wins under his belt but is tied with Fiene for second with 106 points each.
John Roling is hard to beat in Pure Stocks and once again leads the points for that division, however, Bobby Johnson is giving Roling a good run this year and is also looking for that championship. Following Roling and Johnson are Tim Alldredge, Mark Nicklas, and Nevin Gainey.
Brian Hull leads the points for the Hornets followed by Josh Wise, Raurk Hanover, Bert Daugherty, and Mike Parsell. These guys put on a great show week after week and each one is looking for that championship.
A.C. Morow leads the V-8 Bombers points over Shawn DeSotle, Eric Hofmann, Rick Taylor and Michael King.
Pit gate opens at 4 pm with racing action at 7:30 pm. Grandstands open at 6 pm.
