Schedule of Events for Winter Spectacular III

by Larry MacMillan

Here is the schedule of events for the first leg of the Citrus County Speedway Winter Spectacular III on December 13th, 2003.

Mini Stocks - 50 Lap Feature - Time Trials Qualifying
Super Stocks - Hobby Stocks - Thunder Stocks - Open Wheel Lites - 4 cylinder Bombers - FEatures Only
Come one come all. It should be fun and a great show!

Some of Florida's best Super Late Model pilots will bringing their mounts to Citrus County Speedway's 3/8ths mile after trying it on for the 2nd leg of the Governors Cup Series on November 8th. It was one of the best Late Model Shows of the year with Wayne Anderson locking up the win and the Sunbelt series championship. He followed that great run with the Governor's Cup win for his second in his career. This takes nothing away from the other hot shoes who have made Citrus one of their favorite stops and are expected to be there to pick up bragging rights for this third annual Winter Spectacular race. Look for names like Patrick Williams, James Powell III, Fain Skinner, Jay Middleton, Jimmy Cope, Mac Johnson, Rich Pratt, Aric Almirola, Scotty Crockett, Brock Oglesby, Daniel Keene Jr. and local hot shoes like Herb Neumann Jr., Mike Bresnahan, Herb Hoefler, and Danny Johnson just to mention a few.

Rick Sirmons will be back to see if he can make it two in a row for the Mini Stock 50 lap specials after doing extremely well in the Mini Stock Challenge series for the season. Challenge Champion Robbie Yoakam will also be in the line up going against young Chris Hooker and Chris Thornton who locked in the one two championship at Citrus for 2003.

Add five more divisions to the show and it will definitely be one the drivers will want to compete in and the fans will want to see during the lull in racing action throughout the state prior to the holidays. Another Winter Spectacular will kick off the New Year in January.

Citrus County Speedway Divisions Champions and top ten finishers in the 2003 point race will celebrate their accomplishments at the Annual Awards Banquet at the Citrus County Fairgrounds Auditorium in Inverness on Friday, December 19th. Your last opportunity to buy tickets for the Banquet will be available at the pit office on race night December 13th. No tickets will be available at the door.
