Late Model Races Postponed At USA International

Mother Nature put a screaming halt to the races at USA International tonight, that is the bad news but the good news is that the race will be run next Saturday, July 28. Since only 14 laps were actually run for the Super Lates, that race will run again with Shane Sawyer on the pole and Dick Anderson on the outside. Qualifying for all races will stand from today.

Shane Sawyer came out with a 20.92 taking the pole for the race. Second fastest was Dick Anderson with a 21.02, David Rogers with a 21.20, Michael Williams with a 21.23, Jefff Scoffied with a 21.26, Scott Bramlett also with a 21.26, Travis Kittleson with a 21.28, Ricky Carlton with a 21.29, Jason Burkett with a 21.29 and Mike Franklin, Jr. with a 21.32. That set the top ten for the race with 36 total cars.

For the SARA Late Model Sportsman race fast time was set by Mike Hovis with a 21.64 with Michael Faulk on the outside with a 21.67. Thirty five cars will run this race with a few surprise drivers - Wayne Anderson, Dick Anderson and Brad May along with the regular SARA drivers.

For the SARA Open Wheel Modifieds it was Jamie Burrows setting fast time with a 22.51 and 18 cars in the field. Next Saturday night should be a good one if Mother Nature does not win.
