DAVENPORT THREE FOR THREE, ADAMS AND HARVEY GET WINS ON VOLUSIA PAVEMENT

Georgia driver Johnathan Davenport made it three wins in as many nights as he was the class of a very impressive field of Pro/Semi-Pro Legends Cars during night three of the Galaxy Motorsports Pavement Winternationals at the Volusia Speed Park asphalt track.

Davenport spared little time in gaining the lead and pulled away to the win in front of Brad Hall, Todd Fenoff, Eric King, and Donny Lia. Despite missing all of his cars' front bodywork, Canadian driver Cy Harvey took the Masters Legends car feature win after a race-long battle with Tommy Jordan who had won the previous two nights. Fred Hardwick checkered third just ahead of Cotton Spry and Brett Jursik.

Tennessee's Josh Adams finally put it all together to win the 20-lap Modified Lite feature over another impressive field. Like the Legends Masters, the winner from the previous two nights, Shannon Buckingham, had to settle for second this time with Jacksonville, FL's Rick Lundeen posting his best finish of the Winternationals in third. John Calloway and Mike Vammino were fourth and fifth.

The Pro Challenge race was a wild one featuring two multi-car crashes. The first, on the opening lap sent Jay Beebe flipping over the truck of Bennie Hoover. Amazingly, both were able to continue and battle for the win. The second crash, in turn four, badly damaged the car of opening night winner Mac Williams.

Despite damage from the earlier crash, Hoover led the pack to the win followed by Calvin Musser, Beebe, Keith Brooks, and Rusty Hougue.Robbie Sands again dominated the Classic Auto Racing Series action leading every lap of the 20-lap event. Bill Brown, Jr. was second in front of Jackie Kelley, Don Kirk, and Eddie Thornton.

Kent Baledge topped the Baby Grand run while Rick Epperson won again in the Outlaw Late Models.
